2010 Todo list

I love goals. I feel that with out goals life can meander, and we are unable to accomplish productive things with out them. I didn’t set many goals for 2009. The only one I set I accomplished! Spend as much time as possible with my new daughter! I am very grateful that I got to spend so much time with her this past year. This year I’m really cranking it up. I won’t list all the goals here, but I might mention it when I accomplish things. One of the things relates directly to my photography. I have a personal project I’m working toward. I am going to do a 365 project. I’ve known several people that have tackled a 365 project, but they were the subject of the project. I plan on taking 365 portraits of anyone who will let me. I’m allowed to be in it, but I’d rather not. I hate photos of myself. Here are the rules that I have impressed upon myself.

365 rules:
1)    a portrait a day
2)    some part of a human must be in each portrait
3)    I must press the shutter
4)    It has to be a planned portrait. No snapshots! Does not mean it has to be a “normal” portrait.

If anyone would like to be a part of my project, I would love to have your help. I have a few people that have already offered their time to be subjects for my project. Until I can start meeting people, it looks like there will be shots of me and the family. I can’t guarantee that they will all be awesome, but I can guarantee that I will grow as a photographer.
