Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween! Don’t eat too much candy, and brush your teeth before you go to bed. Here are my little monsters! hehe

Old film skewing colors and other fun things

I don’t know if you know, but if you buy film it has an expiration date usually on the package. It really isn’t an expiration date its more of a best buy date. The manufacturer doesn’t guarantee the color accuracy of the film past that date. One way to extend the usable life of film [...]

A chance meeting

I love taking back roads on my way to shoot. I never know when I’ll find something of interest. I take highway 79 and 231 when I go to Huntsville. Beautiful scenery, no speed traps, and just enough gas stations so you don’t feel the possibility of being stranded. I see neat spots and sometimes [...]

She’on

I shot She’on this past Monday. Check them out here. The sky was perfect five minutes before we started shooting. Then, clouds rolled in and eventually started sprinkling. Not before we were able to get several shots off.  I really liked this one.

Fields of Green, Sky of Black

Another wallpaper for your pleasure. I hope you enjoy. I have no idea where this was taken or what it is.  I just love the colors in it. The green fades to white then to black.

Prepping for a shoot

This is my dorky self doing a test photo as I set up lights. Depending upon the type of shoot I have planned I will arrive early for setup or scouting. On the shoot I had today, I knew I would have one maybe two setups. I get there early so I can do my [...]

The Knight Family

I had a great shoot with the Knight family today. It was cold and a bit wet out, but we had a great time. We got tons of great photos, however the following photo I feel captured their family vibe.

Does the Sun Burn this Bright For You?

Yep, more film. It’s the same camera I used to take the self portrait that I posted yesterday. For all you youngsters out there It’s time for a little old school photography lesson. Do you know what the numbers at the top of the image mean? How about the holes at the top and bottom? [...]

A Self Portrait Over Two Seconds

A Self Portrait Over Two Seconds to me sounds kinda cool, and is exactly what this photo is.  I did shave my head about a week ago so I really don’t look like that currently.  Just really short hair. This was taken with a really neat little camera I have that takes four separate photos [...]

It’s Wallpaper Wednesday!

Here is the linked file. I believe that it was taken at a wedding earlier this year. I can’t really remember. I have a whole folder on my desktop full of abstract images I thought that would make neat backgrounds, and some have been sitting there for a while. I hope you, my loyal reader, [...]
